Cheryl Lewis Licensed Professional Counselor

With over 24 years of experience as an education professional, I bring a compassionate, strengths-based approach to counseling that is rooted in years of service as a school counselor and higher education professional. I have a deep understanding of the emotional and developmental needs of children, teens, and young adults. My career has been dedicated to helping individuals navigate challenges, build resilience, and achieve their personal and academic goals.

My background includes extensive work with students with disabilities, providing support that honors each individual's unique strengths and challenges. I’ve served as a school counselor across all grade levels, from elementary to high school, and understand the complexities students and families face within educational systems. As a school counselor, I work extensively with children and families, supporting emotional, social, and academic development. In higher education, I’ve specialized in working with adults with disabilities, empowering them to access resources, advocate for their needs, and thrive in their academic and personal lives. Additionally, my personal experience as a caregiver has given me a compassionate lens for supporting clients through burnout, grief, and life transitions.

Now, as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, I am passionate about walking alongside clients through life’s transitions, offering a safe and inclusive space for healing and growth. My approach integrates person-centered and cognitive-behavioral techniques with a deep respect for each client’s unique story and strengths.
